On the way by bike, the landscape and culture gradually change. But it is all the more interesting to reach the more Celtic Brittany in the west of France. A bike tour in the southern Dahlener Heide can be a welcome change at the weekend – without much stress, on relaxed paths with gentle climbs and descents. Besides nature, the baroque manor house in Dahlen is waiting to be kissed awake from the Sleeping Beauty.
With a bike on the road you can enjoy the great freedom. At least that’s how I felt – on the tour across France from Luxembourg to Brittany. Here the second part, from Reims via Beauvais and Rouen, with a detour to the Normandy coast, to Mont Saint Michel.
