The Dahlener Heide (Heathland) can be easily reached by the Leipzig suburban railway and by bicycle. The northern part hid Napoleon from the „Battle of the Nations“, gives the „Shield Citizen Stories“ their home and leaves many options for tour extension in the east at the Elbe.
